Lawyers + Business Building

Upward Stride is a business development coaching and consulting firm for law firms and individual attorneys. Founder Randi Rosenblatt is a former corporate lawyer (Schiff Hardin, Watson Farley & Williams, Heineken USA) who led business development at Bliss Lawyers through its acquisition by Axiom. We offer one-on-one coaching, group cohorts, workshops, and bootcamps that help attorneys build business development habits that fit who they are.

At Upward Stride, we believe that finding the intersection of authenticity, relationships and growth, and thinking a bit outside the lines, enables attorneys to enhance (and enjoy!) their business development efforts and the opportunities that follow.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a business development coach for lawyers do? A business development coach helps attorneys build the skills and habits to attract and keep clients, including networking, creating a business plan, pitching, and growing existing relationships.

Do you work with law firms or individual attorneys? Both! We offer group cohorts, workshops, and bootcamps for law firms, and one-on-one coaching for individual attorneys (sometimes brought on by the law firm and sometimes individually).

How long does coaching last? Our coaching programs require a six-month initial commitment, which gives attorneys time to build and test a plan. Most of our clients continue beyond the six-months.

Is coaching virtual? Yes. All coaching is virtual - we make great use of our time without wasting six minute increments!

What makes Upward Stride different? We believe there’s no single right way to develop business. We help each attorney find an approach that fits their strengths and personality, so business development is authentic. Randi Rosenblatt is a former corporate lawyer who worked at firms and in-house before running a business development team at a legal staffing firm. She understands the legal industry, the challenges with business development, and the tools necessary to build a practice.
